The previous edition of Global Policy: Next Generation (GPNG) focused on the concepts of crisis and global (dis)order, themes that continue to resonate deeply with the current complex socio-political landscape. From geopolitical upheavals triggered by events such as the ongoing threats of climate change, political instability, pandemics and economic uncertainty, and the return of power politics through military conquest, the global community is navigating a complex maze of overarching challenges. The idea of crises therefore continues to dominate the discourse of the fifth edition of GPNG as each article tackles a unique issue in the management and decision-making processes of global governance structures.
